Leuzi (more commonly known as Mrs. Cardoso because her first name is
somewhat difficult to pronounce) grew up in Salt Lake City, Utah and
Curitiba, Brazil. Her parents are from Brazil and her father loved to travel.
Every four or five years her father would pack the entire family into a motor
home and drive from the United States to Brazil. Leuzi had the privilege of
making this trip three times during her lifetime, and credits the experience
with providing her a broad view, tolerance and acceptance of many peoples
and cultures, as well as the ability to speak, read and write Portuguese as
fluently as a native.

Leuzi married a native Brazilian and they moved to Provo in 1983 for her
husband to attend school. It was at that time Leuzi started working for
Howard, Lewis & Petersen as a legal secretary. Over the years Leuzi has
performed many functions at Howard, Lewis & Petersen, and twenty-one
years later is officially known as the Legal Administrator. However, she will
ruefully admit that it is just a fancy title for someone who will do the jobs
no one else will do. Leuzi's education and experience with the firm have
placed her in the position of "problem solver", which she considers to be
her greatest contribution to the firm and it's clients. If a client has a
problem they cannot get resolved, they can contact Leuzi and they can
rest assured that the problem will be taken care of.

Leuzi and her husband are the parents of five children ranging in ages
from 11 to 21 years old. Leuzi loves travel, camping, hiking, reading,
watching sports (especially soccer), playing the piano and guitar, choral
singing and computers. She especially enjoys her job at Howard, Lewis
& Petersen and hopes to continue providing a high level of service to
the firm and it's clientele for many years to come.

Heather was born in Norman, Oklahoma and spent the first 12 years of
her life in Oklahoma and Texas. Heather's father was in the Air Force and
eventually ended up in Utah at Hill Air Force Base and retired here. After
high school, Heather decided to go to paralegal school and has worked in
the paralegal field since 1989.

Heather met her husband, Doug, at a law firm they were both working at
in Salt Lake City, in1992 and they were married in 1993. Heather had an
instant family of five children, which has kept her very busy at home. Her
family is very special to her and she is very thankful that she has been
able to be a part of their lives.

Heather's children are older now and therefore, she has been able to
pick up several interests and hobbies, such as traveling, camping,
hiking, snowshoeing, and other outdoor activities.

Heather started working at Howard, Lewis & Petersen in 1995 and loves
her job. Heather is our head litigation paralegal and she enjoys working
with clients and the rest of the attorneys and staff. Heather hopes to
provide service to our clients and the law firm for many years to come.
