D. David Lambert
David Lambert is a partner of Howard, Lewis & Petersen and has practiced with the firm for more than twenty-five years. He is a trial attorney who primarily handles civil trials and appellate work.
Dave graduated with the highest honors from Utah State University in 1976 with his Bachelor’s in Political Science. He graduated with honors from the J. Reuben Clark Law School at Brigham Young University in 1979. Prior to joining Howard, Lewis & Petersen, he worked as a city and county prosecutor in Utah County.
Dave has been admitted to the following: Utah State Bar in 1979, U.S. District Court District of Utah in 1982, and U.S. Court of Appeals 10th Circuit in 1985.
As a litigator, Dave’s practice emphasizes representation of those injured by medical negligence, auto negligence, defective products, dangerous premises and other personal injury cases. Some of his complex civil cases have involved construction site disasters, mining equipment failure, propane explosions, medical malpractice, auto collisions, defective machines, and pharmaceuticals.
Dave has achieved the highest rating (AV) from Martindale-Hubbell Law Directory. He is a sustaining member of the America Trial Lawyers Association. Dave was recently named as one of the 2010 Mountain States Super Lawyers in the fields of personal injury and medical malpractice in the State of Utah.
An active member of the legal community, Dave has served on the Board of Governors of the Utah Trial Lawyers Association from 1989 to present and served as the president of that organization during 1999-2000.
Dave feels it is important to give service to the bar and to the community. He was appointed by the governor to serve on the nominating commission which recommends judges for the courts in Utah, Wasatch, Juab, and Millard Counties. He has made presentations at many continuing legal education programs. He has served on community boards and has served for many years as a leader in the Boy Scouts of America.
Dave is married and has six daughters.
